Evening Prayer @ Emmanuel
I would like to encourage you to join me for Evening Prayer in Emmanuel Church on Thursdays from 5.30pm. It is the gift of one hour to sit and reflect on the Bible and, in response, pray for our church, community and wider world.

‘Let There Be Light’ 22nd November 2025 – 4th January 2026
An exhibition of artworks, by local artists, that depict the power of light to dispel the darkness, from a small candle flame to an exploding star.

Launch Event
Saturday 22nd November
3pm to 4:30 pm
Come and meet the artists, have a glass of wine and a mince pie. The exhibition will be open to view between
2pm to 4pm on the following dates:

Saturday 29th November
Sunday 30th November
Sunday 4th January 2026
The Artspace will also be open during all the services in the church throughout the Christmas season
You are invited to submit artworks for inclusion in this exhibition which is designed to celebrate the coming of light into the world. From Genesis, when God spoke and there was light, to Jesus, the Light of the World. Submission Dates: Friday 14th and Monday 17 th November 1.30pm to 3pm Launch Event – Saturday 22nd November – 3pm to 4.30pm
The Artspace will be open on the following days between 2pm and 4pm. Please sign up for stewarding if you are able on Sunday 23 rd , Saturday 29 th and Sunday 30 th November. The exhibition space will also be open during all the services and events held in the church during the Christmas season.
